We are actively recruiting driven, energetic providers to join our practice as we continue to expand coverage of quality EM Physicians, PAs, & NPs. We are a physician group of 30+ years located in Central Alabama providing EM coverage for the Healthcare Authority for Baptist Health, an affiliate of UAB Health System. We provide exceptional income opportunity based on RVU/Productivity. We provide Healthcare for a population of 100K+ annually. Our Regional Level II Trauma Center houses 3 Academic Training Programs, EM, FP, & IM. 

 

Important Questions about your Relationship with ER Med

 

Q: Is there a Contract involved?

A: Yes.  All physicians working with the group whether full-time or moonlighting have a written contract as an Independent Contractor with ER Med.

 

Q:  Does the contract have detailed financial section that explains how I am compensated for medical services provided?

A:  Yes.  All contracts have a financial section that provides the financial breakdown by facility.  Compensation is calculated on an hourly rate plus RVU incentive.  Efficient, hard work is rewarded.

 

Q: Does ER Med provide accounting management of insurance packages such as health disability or malpractice?

A: Yes.  Our total company package can arrange for you early monthly installments for all insurance products and allows you the flexibility to choose what you prefer in coverage.  Our physician's financial compensation arrangement allows the physician

to customize the best investment/retirement plan to meet their individual lifestyles.

 

Q: Is there a sign-on Bonus or Moving Expenses allotment?

A: Yes

 

Q: How often is the physician paid for medical services rendered?

A: Independent Contracted physicians are paid monthly between 1st & 5th of each month for medical services provided.

 

Q: Does ER Med use Mid-Care Providers?

A: Yes. We use both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.  We also use Pre-med & Medical students as scribes.

 

Q: Does ER Med provide any orientation or training to new physicians?

A: Yes.  We provide orientation and education on documentation/coding and compliance for physicians new to the system to assist in a smooth transition into the hospital system.
